We learned about this free, online event from the fine folks at Nerd Nite Ann Arbor. Here’s the press release:

Please spread the word and join us for Stand Up for Science: Practical Approaches for Discussing Science that Matters: a free, online learning event following the March for Science hosted by the University of Michigan’s Office of Academic Innovation and RELATE.  Learn, discuss, practice, and explore science communication and public engagement any time between May 5-7!

Stand Up for Science is a free, online learning event, where you can choose your own adventure to:

  • Engage with others to discuss benefits and challenges in science communication
  • Develop and practice your science communication skills
  • Explore opportunities for science communication and public engagement near you
  • Learn why effective communication matters and how it changes for different audiences

Flexible time commitment, based on your interests (1-4+ hours)

When: Main event: May 5-7

Where: Online 

Who: Everyone and anyone with an interest in science and science communication.

Stand Up for Science is part of the University of Michigan’s Teach-Out series.
