A few images from DIYpsi Indie Art Fair
I used to dread craft-fair season way back when I newspapered in rural North Carolina — seemed like it was always the same old jigsaw-cut signs, duck decoys and cutesy country crap.
But southeast Michigan has a metric boatload of cool artists and artisans and it’s nice, even with my ultratight budget, to support a few of them. Or merely to envy their talent. So I checked out Ann Arbor District Library’s Tiny Expo and the DIYpsi Indie Art Fair today. And here are a few snaps from DIYpsi at Riverside Arts Center in downtown Ypsilanti. (Forgot to load the memory card for Tiny Expo — super professional photojournalist move.)
DIYpsi continues Sunday from noon-6 p.m. It’s part of the second annual Winter Art Tour.
